OUR MISSION
Our mission is to bring the art of kindness to life, educating children on the value of compassion and giving back. Together, we're building a brighter future where compassion and generosity thrive.
OUR VISION
To create a world where our children are active change makers!
Together, we’re creating a generation of superhero helpers, armed with kindness, changing the world for the better.
Pia is a mum of two beautiful little boys. She has a background working with young people experiencing disadvantage and giving back to her community has always been a passion. Pia wanted to get her little ones involved in giving back in a tangible and real way but saw very little to no opportunities in Perth. With the skills in volunteer management and a strong understanding of individuals experiencing disadvantage Pia saw an opportunity to engage children in opportunities that could directly impact those in need. That is where The Cariad Project was born.
The Cariad Project provides educational experiences for children as young as three that aim to bring the art of kindness to life through giving back to disadvantaged communities. The programs invite children to engage in experiences of kindness producing goods for those experiencing disadvantage. Partnering with local services, we ensure that the homemade goods directly reach those in need.
As part of this unique experience, participating children receive age-appropriate educational materials through story, art and conversation, fostering understanding and empathy towards disadvantage. These educational pieces aim to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals and encourage a sense of social responsibility from a young age.
Upon completing the session, each child is awarded a certificate - recognising their contribution and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. The initiative not only addresses the immediate needs of the individuals accessing the partnering services but also instils a sense of compassion and community service in the next generation.
We are still in the early stages of getting started at The Cariad Project. We are excited and can't wait for what is to come. Follow us and stay in the loop but if you have any questions or want to get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
